About Keyra

Who we are, what we are building, and why the site is open before the exchange itself.

In short

Keyra is a crypto and cash exchange service in Georgia. The company is registered, internal procedures are in place, and we are currently going through registration as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) with the National Bank of Georgia. Until that status is granted, no exchange takes place.

What we will do

Two-way exchange between crypto and ordinary money — without trying to be everything at once:

  • USDT (TRC-20, ERC-20, TON), Bitcoin, Ethereum and TRX;
  • Georgian lari, US dollar and euro;
  • cash at the Tbilisi office or a transfer to a Georgian bank account;
  • a separate flow for companies — with transaction documents and a clear payment purpose.

We will add coins and networks as demand appears, not to make the list on the front page look longer.

Where we operate

We start with Tbilisi and online. New cities follow demand; the city will never be part of the service name, so we will not have to rename ourselves at the first expansion.

Why we are waiting for the license

Since 1 July 2023, virtual asset service providers in Georgia must be registered with and supervised by the National Bank of Georgia. An exchange without that status is a risk for the customer: frozen funds, no obligations, and no protection in a disputed transaction.

So until the status is granted, Keyra shows no rates, accepts no orders and handles no customer money. That is a deliberate decision, not a pause in development.

The principles we build on

  • The network is chosen explicitly. The same USDT on TRC-20, ERC-20 and TON means different addresses and different fees. The network will be highlighted before confirmation, because a mistake here means losing the funds.
  • The fee is inside the rate. The amount you see in the calculator and the amount you receive should match.
  • AML is part of the job, not distrust. Checking the origin of funds is mandatory for a licensed exchange. The cleaner the coin history, the faster the payout.
  • Three languages on equal footing. Russian, English and Georgian — in the interface and in support.

Where we are now

  • Company in Georgia — registered.
  • Internal AML procedures — policies and rules prepared.
  • VASP license — application in progress, the key stage.
  • Exchange launch — rates, orders, office and transfers all go live together.

We do not name an exact date so we never have to move it. Leave your email — we will write on launch day, one message.
